Originally published by St. Martin’s Press, Sandsong, is now available through Lynas Press. It captures the work of G. Augustine Lynas, well known as a master sand sculptor. Sculpting in sand on public beaches is usually a performance art involving the interaction with observers as they watch the creation and demise of works created at the edge of the sea.

Almost always created in the natural environment, the sculptures in Sandsong emphasize the need for us to protect the delicate balance of our basic elements; earth, air, water and fire. The book features more than 100 black & white and color photos and 3000 words of text that describe the philosophy behind this unusual artistic expression.
